You choose the setting, the metal, the diamond shape and the stone itself, and we make the ring in our Hatton Garden workshop and hallmark it in the UK. Settings start at £670 and a finished ring starts from around £820, because we price your certified lab grown diamond separately when you choose it. A standard commission usually takes four to six weeks from confirmation, and up to two months for more involved pieces, or two weeks with Priority at £499. Nothing is made in advance and nothing sits in a case waiting for a buyer, which is why the same ring costs less here than it would through a retailer holding stock.

What bespoke actually means, and what it usually means
Bespoke is a word the jewellery trade uses loosely, and it is worth knowing which version you are being offered.
At one end, a retailer sells you a finished ring from a case and calls resizing it bespoke. In the middle, and this is where most of the industry sits, you choose an existing design and specify the metal, the diamond shape and the stone. At the far end, someone draws a ring that has never existed, models it, and casts it from scratch.
Luma works at the middle and the far end, and the middle is our standard. Every design in the collection is made when you order it, in the metal and shape you choose, around the diamond you pick. If you want something the collection does not cover, we design it with you from a consultation. What we do not do is hold finished stock and describe adjusting it as a commission.
How it works
There are four steps, and you see the price move at each one.
Timeline. Standard is included and usually takes four to six weeks from confirmation, and up to two months for more involved pieces. Priority takes two weeks and costs £499. We ask this first because it is the constraint people forget until it is too late, and a proposal date does not move.
Setting. Choose the design, the metal and the diamond shape. Every setting we make can be built around a round, oval, pear, emerald, princess, cushion, radiant, Asscher, marquise or heart centre, so the shape is your decision rather than the design's.
Diamond. You choose your certified lab grown stone and we price it live at that moment, based on what is available. This is the step that decides most of the cost, and it is why we do not publish one price for a finished ring.
Order. You approve the diamond certificate before we make anything. Then it goes to the bench in Hatton Garden and comes back hallmarked.
You can do all of this in the Design Studio online, or in person at the workshop where you can compare stones side by side under a loupe. Most people who spend above £1,500 come in for the diamond, because the difference between two stones on the same certificate is obvious in the hand and invisible on a screen.

That covers sourcing and certifying the stone, casting the setting in your chosen metal, setting the diamond, finishing and UK hallmarking. Hallmarking is a legal step at the Assay Office and it is not something any jeweller can compress, which is worth knowing when somebody quotes you a few days.

Less than the ready made equivalent, which surprises people.
A retailer holding finished stock has paid to make rings nobody has bought yet, and that cost sits in the price of the one you do buy. We make yours when you order it, so there is no stock to fund and no shop floor markup between you and the bench.
Settings start at £670 and most sit between £670 and £1,200, with larger designs reaching around £2,400. Your diamond is priced on top when you choose it.
