Luma Jewellery — Net Positive
Net Positive

Good for you. Better for the world.

We started Luma because we believed fine jewellery could be made differently. Lab grown diamonds, Hatton Garden craftsmanship, direct pricing with nothing hidden. Net Positive is our commitment to making sure that extends beyond the ring itself.

Building a jewellery brand that leaves things better than it finds them.

That means being honest about our impact, acting on the areas we control, and acknowledging where we are still working. It does not mean perfect. It means better, and more accountable with every order.

Trees planted so far

One tree planted for every order over £100

For every purchase over £100, we plant a tree through our reforestation partner. Not a carbon credit. Not an offset scheme. A real tree, in the ground, in a place that needs it.

What we are doing, and why

  • Lab Grown Diamonds

    Lab Grown Diamonds

Every diamond we sell is lab grown. Not as a compromise, but as a deliberate choice. Lab grown diamonds are chemically identical to mined stones. Growing them requires no land displacement, no communities disrupted, no ecosystems disturbed. They cost significantly less than mined diamonds of equivalent quality, which means more of what you spend goes into the craftsmanship rather than a supply chain. We believe this is simply a better way to make fine jewellery. Learn about lab grown diamonds.

  • Made in Hatton Garden

    Made in Hatton Garden

We design and make our pieces in Hatton Garden, London's jewellery quarter and home to some of the most skilled craftspeople in the country. Making here means short supply chains, skilled hands and pieces built to last. Every engagement ring is made to order. No warehouse of pre-made stock sitting unsold. No mass production. When you order from Luma, your jewellery is made for you. That is the only way we work.

  • Responsible Metal Sourcing

    Responsible Metal Sourcing

We use 18ct gold and 950 platinum in our engagement pieces, and 9ct or 18ct gold across our everyday collection. We source from UK-based refiners committed to responsible practices. Gold recycled from secondary sources, including electronic waste, makes up a growing proportion of our supply. We are working toward full traceability on all metal and will update this page as that develops.

  • Direct to Consumer

    Direct to Consumer

We sell directly from our Hatton Garden studio with no retail middlemen and no markup on top of a markup. This cuts the transport, packaging and overhead of a traditional retail chain. It also means we can be fully transparent about what you are paying for. The price of a Luma ring reflects the diamond, the metalwork, the making and our margin. Nothing else is buried in there. See our engagement ring collection.

Being honest

What we do

We think the most useful thing we can do is be specific. Here is an honest account of where we are: what is already built into how we work, and what is still in progress. We will update this page as things change.
