Jewellery Repairs
Repairs at our Hatton Garden workshop.
Chains snap, claws wear down, rings stop fitting. We repair all of it, and you do not need to have bought the piece from us.
Every repair is quoted before we start, so you know the cost up front. Post in from anywhere in the UK or drop off in London EC1.
What we repair
These are starting prices. Once we have seen your piece, we confirm an exact quote before any work begins. If you decide not to go ahead, we return your jewellery and the assessment costs nothing.
Ring resizing
Sized up or down in gold or platinum, finished so the join disappears.
Chain and bracelet repair
Broken links soldered and refinished, clasps checked while we are at it.
Clasp replacement
Worn or failing clasps swapped for a secure new fitting.
Stone replacement and resetting
Lost or chipped stones matched and reset by our goldsmith.
Claw retipping
Worn claws rebuilt so your stone stays exactly where it should.
Rhodium plating
White gold brought back to a bright, even finish.
Polishing and refinishing
We remove scratches and restore the original surface, matt or polished.
Something else?
Watches, antiques, oddities. If it is precious to you, ask us.

Before you pay for a repair
If your piece came from Luma, some of this work is already covered. And if it is past saving, there is another road.
Bought your piece from Luma?
Every Luma ring includes one free resize, and our lifetime manufacturing warranty covers faults in craftsmanship. Check these pages before paying for a repair you may not need.

When repair becomes redesign
Some pieces are past saving, and some deserve more than a fix. An inherited stone in a broken setting can become something you would actually wear. That is bespoke work, and it is what our Luma Bespoke studio does every day.
Send us your piece
Email photos to get started, or book an appointment at the studio in Hatton Garden. We reply with an estimate and go from there.
