Stud Earrings

Stud earrings are the pair that goes in and stays in. Lab grown diamond studs in classic four claw and martini settings from £232.80, and gemstone and plain gold studs in 9k gold from £125. Designed in Hatton Garden and made to order.

Lab grown diamond studs

Solenne and Aveline are matched pairs of round brilliant lab grown diamonds, E to F colour and VS1 clarity, finished with butterfly backs. Solenne is a classic four claw setting and Aveline a three claw martini that sits lower on the ear. Both come in 9k or 18k gold, yellow or white, from 0.50ct total across the pair up to 5.00ct. Prices run from £232.80 for 0.50ct in 9k gold to £1,869.60 for 5.00ct in 18k gold. Lysa is a curved lab grown diamond stud in 14k white gold at £385.

Gemstone and gold studs

Clara sets a single citrine, garnet or peridot in 9k yellow gold at £255. Brisa comes in black sapphire, emerald, amethyst, peridot or citrine at £125. Coralie is a stone set stud and Sanna a knot stud, both in 9k yellow gold, at £125 and £255.

Classic or martini

A four claw holds the diamond a little higher and shows a small amount of metal from the side. A martini holds it in three claws close to the lobe with almost nothing showing from the front. Both let light into the stone from every side, so the choice is about how you like a stud to sit rather than how much it sparkles.

Questions

How much are lab grown diamond stud earrings at Luma?

Solenne and Aveline start at £232.80 for 0.50ct total across the pair in 9k gold and run to £1,869.60 for 5.00ct total in 18k gold. The price changes with the carat weight and the metal you choose, and you see it on the product page before you order. Gemstone and plain gold studs start at £125.

What is the difference between classic and martini studs?

Solenne is a classic four claw setting, which holds the diamond a little higher and shows a small amount of metal from the side. Aveline is a three claw martini, which holds the diamond low and close to the lobe with almost no metal showing from the front. Both let light into the stone from every side, so the choice comes down to how you like a stud to sit.

What does total carat weight mean?

The carat weight on each pair is the combined weight of both diamonds. A 1.00ct total pair has a 0.50ct diamond in each ear. Because we match every pair individually, the exact weight and diameter can vary a little from the figure shown.

Are the diamonds matched?

Yes. Every Solenne and Aveline pair is matched for E to F colour and VS1 clarity, so the two diamonds look the same in size, colour and brightness when worn together. They are round brilliant lab grown diamonds, finished with butterfly backs.

How long do stud earrings take to make?

We make every pair to order in our Hatton Garden workshop and most are ready within 4 to 6 weeks. Once made, your order is dispatched fully insured and tracked. If you need a pair by a particular date, email us before you order and we will tell you what is possible.

Can I see them in person?

Yes. Book an appointment at our studio at 13 Hatton Place, London EC1 and we will show you the settings and carat sizes side by side so you can see how each pair sits on the ear.
