Our Warranty

Every piece of Luma jewellery comes with a 1 year manufacturing warranty from the date of delivery. If something goes wrong because of how it was made, we will put it right.

What is covered

The warranty covers defects in craftsmanship that should not have occurred under normal conditions. This includes:

Faulty settings, such as a prong that breaks due to a manufacturing issue. Stone loss caused by a setting failure, not by impact or wear and tear. Defects in metalwork, including clasps that fail, bands that crack at a join or soldering that comes apart.

If your piece develops a fault covered by this warranty, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you.

What is not covered

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss, theft, misuse or alterations carried out by a third party. It also does not cover damage caused by improper care or exposure to chemicals, chlorine or abrasive materials.

Scratches, thinning of metal over time and minor surface wear are a normal part of wearing jewellery daily and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Free resizing

Engagement rings include one free resize within the first 12 months. This is included because we understand that getting the size right on a ring you have not tried on before can take an adjustment.

Cleaning, polishing and repairs

We offer professional cleaning and polishing for £20. For other services such as prong re tipping, tightening or rhodium replating on white gold, the cost depends on the piece. Get in touch and we will give you a quote before any work is carried out.

Insurance

Our warranty covers manufacturing faults but it does not cover loss, theft or accidental damage. We strongly recommend insuring your jewellery separately, especially engagement rings and higher value pieces. Most home contents policies can be extended to cover jewellery, or you can take out a specialist policy.

How to make a claim

If you think your piece has a manufacturing fault, email us at info@lumajewellery.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will get back to you within 2 working days and arrange the next steps.
