Chai means life. The Chai Life Pendant holds the Hebrew letters at its centre, and even its proportions carry the meaning. It measures 18mm by 26mm. In Jewish tradition, 18 is chai, life, and 26 is the numerical value of the sacred name of G-d. Together they anchor the piece in strength, protection and blessing.
A modern take on a symbol worn for generations, the contrast of mixed precious metals gives it depth and clarity. Made for confident everyday wear and for the moments that matter, a bar or bat mitzvah, a milestone, a gift kept for good.
Handmade in Hatton Garden, London, in solid 9k gold, 18k gold vermeil or sterling silver, with a polished border and gold chai centre. The Sterling Silver and 18k Gold Vermeil carry our signature Mixed and White Body contrast finish, and the Solid Gold version is crafted in full 9k gold throughout. A 20 inch vermeil curb chain is included, and we can make it to a different length on request.
